Every Day is a Day Worth Celebrating: November Edition

Happy November, Readers!

How was everyone's October? Mine flew by super fast; speed of light fast. So much happened, it is almost hard to wrap my head around.

The highlights were attending the Gypsy Picnic Food Trailer Festival in Austin, TX, and of course my birthday was a few days ago.  The weather here in Texas started acting spazzy, going from 40°F to 84°F in a day. Hello, allergies and sniffles... nice to see you again... NOT!

Oh and in other awesome news, I was accepted into the Austin Food Blogger Alliance!  I'm pretty excited about this. On the AFBA website, they describe the organization like this:

"The Austin Food Blogger Alliance (AFBA) was formed in early 2011 with the purpose of working together to set a standard of transparency and fairness by adhering to a code of ethics. AFBA supports each other and our community through classes, social events, and philanthropy."

Cool, huh?  I'm pretty damn proud to be apart of a group like them, and I can't wait to get involved.

Back to business...

Since today is the first day of November, it is time for my monthly "Every Day is a Day Worth Celebrating" post. Basically, each month I compile a list of all of the month's food celebrations and national holidays.

What I'm sort of perplexed about, is that there isn't a National Turkey day.... I guess that's a given with it being the month of Thanksgiving and all...

I'm personally looking forward to National Sandwich day, National Nachos day, National Scrapple day, National Pickle day (if you don't know by now, I have a very strong affinity for pickles) and National Carbonated Beverage with Caffeine day...  What days are you excited about?

  1. If I had time, I'd definitely find, explore, and cross each one of these off. I'm assuming the ones in bold you're excited about? I'm definitely down to celebrate pickles! Ohhh yeaaa!
